Long running Grammy-nominated extreme melodic power metal band DragonForce release their seventh album, ???Reaching Into Infinity???, on May 19. Once again recorded with Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Soilwork), the producer extraordinaire who helmed the UK-based group???s now three-yearold previous record ???Maximum Overload???, it will be available via earMUSIC in Europe, Metal Blade Records in the United States and Roadrunner in Japan.
???Reaching Into Infinity??? introduces Italian drummer Gee Anzalone, who joined the band for their first ever ???best-of??? collection, ???Killer Elite: The Hits, The Highs, The Vids???, released in 2016. It???s the third DragonForce album to feature frontman Marc Hudson, whose reign at the mic now enters its sixth year.
???Marc is becoming more and more involved with the writing process, especially in the lyrics,??? acknowledges guitarist Herman Li. ???Mostly, though, these songs came from Fr??d??ric [Leclercq, bassist] and Sam [Totman, guitarist].???
Musically speaking, ???Reaching Into Infinity??? continues where DragonForce left off with ???Maximum Overload???, the band???s faster material becoming even faster still, while the melodic parts head even further in that particular direction. The band offer no apologies for the inclusion of a 1980s rock-style ballad entitled ???Silence??? and, at the other end of the spectrum, there???s even an 11-minute multitempoed monster called ???The Edge Of The World???.
??????The Edge Of The World??? is DragonForce???s longest ever song,??? says Li proudly. ???In some ways, this album is more epic than anything we???ve done before.???
???The Edge Of The World??? is extremely ambitious, channelling growled vocals from Hudson and fusing them with a stunning arrangement that twists and turns like the proverbial dragon???s tail. The ???Force go prog-rock, anyone?
???Why not???? Li responds. ???Marc???s favourite style of music is prog, and I???m a massive fan of Dream Theater, so there???s an element of that going on. With each album that we make, the band reveals more and more if its influences, constantly adding to what we can do.???
???We have proven that playing fast is something we were good at, so this time I wanted to bring even more diversity into our music,??? Fred elaborates. ???It???s great to challenge ourselves instead of staying in a comfort zone, and I really wanted to experiment with Marc???s vocals. I think people are going to be surprised at his brutality.???
The title corresponds with the album???s highly impressive sleeve art, which features a dragon bursting through a wormhole into a hi-tech, futuristic cityscape.
???The dragon represents us ??? DragonForce ??? and a form of music that???s been around for a very long time, emerging into an outside world that???s infinitely more crazy and chaotic than it was ten years ago,??? Li explains, using considerable understatement. ???Everyone is saying that there???s no future and there???s a lot of fear and uncertainty, especially for younger people, but our music is an escape from it all.???
The bulk of the album was laid down at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, though additional parts were cut in studios around the UK and in California. They had to be ??? ???Since ???Killer Elite??? it???s been nonstop for us,??? Li comments.
Adds Leclercq: ???We flew out, played a festival, headed back into the studio, then went back out again. It was very intense and tiring. I obviously played bass but also a lot of rhythm guitar, electric and acoustic, and lost my temper a few times ??? I think we all did at some point, because we wanted to deliver nothing but the best.???
Expect many of these songs to become firm live favourites, particularly the super-fast ???Midnight Madness??? (feted as the album???s second video track), when DragonForce hit the road again. As usual, their itinerary will take them to the four corners of the world.

AJ Swearingen and Jayne Kelli recreate the music, memories and magic of the most famous folk-rock duo of our time, Simon and Garfunkel. Swearingen has been performing this music for twenty years with mastery of Paul Simon's intricate guitar playing. His deep baritone blends perfectly against Kelli's angelic vocals, which invoke a true sound in the spirit of Art Garfunkel. The duo has been performing music together since 2010.
Two voices in perfect harmony balanced against one acoustic guitar delivers a true tribute to the sound of the 1960's Greenwich Village, NY coffeehouse performances.

Born and bred in Brooklyn, New York but with roots in Vancouver, Canada, the history of Bob Moses is as curious as the cool house music duo's name.
Members Jimmy Vallance and Tom Howie knew one another from the Vancouver high school they both attended and were drawn together thanks to a shared love of pop-punk bands like Rancid and Green Day. Adulthood found them both in Brooklyn, with Vallance recording Berlin-styled techno while Howie worked in the realm of the singer/songwriter. Both felt musically stuck and hungered for something new, a problem solved by the simple union of their styles, which created something cool and decidedly "post-club." Named after the urban planner who designed the modern New York City, they became Bob Moses and joined the Scissor & Thread label in 2012 with the EP Hand to Hold. The Far from the Tree EP followed on the label in 2013, then a year later the group released the First to Cry EP on Domino. In 2015, the label gathered up all the duo's early EPs for the compilation All in All and also released their debut album, Days Gone By.
A special production put on by Orlando Weekly's 2013 "Best Soul Act". The Sh-Booms to perform an original set of new material as well as crowd favorites along with a "Soul Revue" of tunes from 60's and 70's

Tinsley joins Mycle Wastman (Guitar, Vox), Charlie Csontos (Bass) and Matt Frewen (Drums) on the road as they wrap up a 21 date East Coast Tour and gear up for the Summer leg starting in July.
???The five members of Stokeswood woke up one day in a black van with a trailer full of equipment and not one of them knew how they got there,??? says the Facebook page of the Atlanta-based pop outfit. While that lead-in is delivered with a wink, there is a genuine immediacy to Stokeswood. Right at home on the stage and purveyors of a spontaneous party vibe, this band inspires instant fandom and uninhibited dance moves. Really, Stokeswood requires little in the way of introduction
The current lineup includes founding members Adam Patterson (vocals) and Mark Godwin (lead guitar) with Michael Roman (keys), Jon Joiner (drums) and Justin Mullinix (bass and live production). The musicians are known to switch instruments between songs ??? one hint as to their eclecticism and energy ??? and they eschew limits on influences. From Atlanta hip-hop beats to indie-rock melodies, "We walk the fine line of so many genres," says Patterson. "We're taking all the parts of what we know and making it a cohesive sound." Proof that the formula works: Since releasing its first album in 2009, Stokeswood has been landing pop tracks on radio stations in the Southeast where that genre is often overlooked and jam is king.
